Content Creator - Puzzles

Location: London, UK; hybrid working with 2 office days and 3 remote days, 9:00am–5:30pm. The role is based at the Maple House office and offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

What you will do

• Create and compile engaging puzzles across more than 30 magazine brands.
• Support Editors in delivering accurate and consistent titles to print.
• Adjust puzzle pages and accompanying copy in-page.
• Solve, check, edit, and proofread pages to ensure correctness and quality.
• Coordinate with internal teams on competitions, promotional content, and stakeholder requirements.
• Manage administrative tasks and contribute to wider creative and editorial projects.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of word, number, and logic puzzle types.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and fact-checking skills.
• Strong time management, prioritisation, planning, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to proofread and edit puzzles in volume.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience creating or editing written content, preferably for print.

Nice to have

• Experience creating puzzles or puzzle-related content in print or digital formats.
• Ability to develop original puzzles or new puzzle concepts.
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Macs.
• Awareness of the puzzle magazine market and current trends.
