Laboratory Technician (Petrochemical)

Location: Jurong Island, Singapore; onsite laboratory role with 12-hour rotating shifts

What you will do

• Perform approved ASTM and in-house analytical tests on raw materials, components, and finished products.
• Conduct in-process testing for the Technical and Operations departments.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and monitor test accuracy.
• Test standard reference samples and maintain SMC/SQC quality charts.
• Assist chemists with lab blend studies and analysis of non-routine samples.
• Manage retained samples, maintain laboratory housekeeping, and follow corporate guidelines.

Requirements

• Diploma in Chemical Process Technology, Chemical Sciences, Biochemical Sciences, or an equivalent field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a refinery, petrochemical, or chemical industry is preferred.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
• Must be prepared to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Relevant experience is not mandatory; training will be provided to candidates interested in the petrochemical industry.
