Security Operations Engineer (AI)

Location: New York, NY, United States

Salary: USD 150,000–250,000 per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance the security detection and response program protecting data and intellectual property.
• Respond to malicious activity and anomalous events across devices and networks.
• Design and implement novel security detection rules.
• Build automation to improve incident response.
• Build and use AI tools to address emerging security threats.
• Collaborate with global teams and external vendors.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a security engineering role.
• Extensive incident response and detection engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of attacker tools, techniques, and security fundamentals.
• Programming experience, preferably with Python.
• Experience securing Linux systems.
• Ability to independently deliver projects and participate in on-call coverage during business hours and one weekend per month.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Debian Linux.
