Focus on preparing ABGK for go-live, ensuring statutory compliance and internal controls, managing project accounting and SLAs, and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.

's Japan accounting organization supports financial reporting for K.K. and the establishment of ABGK, a newly created accounting entity supporting future biosimilar and biosame business.
What you will do
- Own end-to-end Record-to-Report activities and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for K.K.
- Manage US GAAP and J-GAAP accounting and reporting, including statutory and tax reporting, audit coordination, and internal control compliance.
- Support SAP ECC enhancements and SAP S/4HANA implementation, including testing, cutover readiness, and ABGK setup before go-live.
- Establish ABGK's statutory accounting, reporting, tax compliance, SOPs, SLAs, cost allocation, and project accounting processes.
- Drive process simplification, standardization, automation, control improvement, and AI and digital finance initiatives.
- Partner with Finance, FP&A, Global Accounting, IT, Tax, Supply Chain, Commercial, Quality, Regulatory, Safety, Procurement, and shared services stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Japanese Certified Public Accountant (JCPA) certification is required.
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and reporting within multinational corporations or public accounting firms.
- Strong end-to-end R2R experience, including financial close and Japanese statutory accounting and reporting compliance.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, plus experience with tax compliance, external audit, and internal controls such as SOX.
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English is required.
Nice to have
- US CPA or another internationally recognized accounting qualification.
- SAP S/4HANA deployment experience.
