Finance Leader for Joint Venture (Finance/Manufacturing): Leading financial strategy, controllership, cost management, and business partnering for a multinational joint venture with an accent on US GAAP, plant finance, global supply chain finance, and manufacturing operations. Focus on building financial plans, optimizing production costs and working capital, managing treasury and tax risks, and developing finance teams across Japan and the United States.

What you will do
- Develop and execute the joint venture’s financial strategy in alignment with global and regional objectives.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and mid- to long-term financial modeling while advising the CEO and global leadership team.
- Oversee accounting, tax, treasury, internal controls, financial statements, and management reporting across three legal entities.
- Lead cost accounting, standard cost setting, variance analysis, and manufacturing cost optimization across multiple production sites.
- Partner with supply chain, procurement, operations, and commercial teams on working capital, pricing, profitability, sourcing, capacity planning, and investments.
- Manage and develop nine finance members across the United States and Japan while strengthening cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably in multinational manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, plant finance, and global supply chain finance.
- Expertise in US GAAP and compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience in financial planning, business partnering, and strategic leadership.
- Excellent English communication skills required.
Nice to have
- MBA, CPA, CMA, or an equivalent professional certification.
- Experience in foreign-owned enterprises or matrixed global organizations.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or other ERP systems.
- Experience with M&A, restructuring, or transformation initiatives.
