Senior Motion Designer (AI)

Location: Remote, anywhere in Canada

Hourly rate: $55–$74 CAD per hour

What you will do

• Create motion content for brand videos, events, promotions, social media, web, and other marketing channels.
• Take projects from briefs or storyboards through animation, editing, revisions, and final delivery.
• Translate marketing and product messages into clear visual stories while following brand guidelines and creative direction.
• Produce video edits, social clips, web animations, GIFs, presentation content, and other campaign assets.
• Adapt existing designs and concepts into motion across different formats and channels.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and stakeholders, using templates, motion systems, existing assets, and AI tools efficiently.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in motion design, animation, or video editing.
• Strong proficiency in After Effects and Premiere Pro, with working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Portfolio demonstrating motion design, animation, editing, and visual storytelling.
• Strong understanding of animation, typography, composition, pacing, and design fundamentals.
• Ability to take creative direction, incorporate feedback, manage multiple deliverables, and ramp up quickly.
• Degree or diploma in Motion Graphics, Animation, Visual Communication, or a related field.
