Data Science/Data Engineer Intern

Location: Los Angeles, CA, on-site. Relocation support may be provided for certain situations based on business need. ITAR eligibility is required: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $46.15–$50.71 per hour

What you will do

• Build and maintain pipelines moving machine, production, quality, and program data into the warehouse.
• Model datasets used by engineering, operations, and quality teams for daily decisions.
• Analyze throughput, capacity, cycle time, yield, and machine utilization.
• Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting for factory performance and program status.
• Prototype statistical and machine learning approaches for anomaly detection, demand forecasting, and process optimization.
• Collaborate with operations, program management, and quality teams; write tested, documented code and participate in code reviews.

Requirements

• Current Bachelor's or Master's student in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering, or a related field, graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, or cloud data warehouses.
• Working knowledge of statistics and the ability to produce defensible conclusions from messy data.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Willingness to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA and meet ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience building production data pipelines or delivering analysis that changed a decision.
• Experience with orchestration or transformation tooling.
• Exposure to time-series, sensor, or telemetry data.
• Interest in manufacturing systems, automation, or industrial software.
