Location: Onsite in Downtown Los Angeles, California, United States. The role is based in an office setting, with variable hours including evenings, weekends and holidays during peak event periods. LA28 does not provide relocation assistance.
Salary: $73,000–$98,000 annual base salary

What you will do
- Support spectator communications plans across Event Visitor Services touchpoints.
- Create clear, concise and engaging written, video and presentation content for spectators, volunteers, staff and operational stakeholders.
- Partner with EVS and cross-functional teams to maintain accurate, consistent communications aligned with LA28 standards.
- Develop training content and materials to prepare workforce members for spectator support and operational readiness milestones.
- Manage communication deliverables, schedules and project tracking to support event readiness and the guest experience.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in communications, public relations, event communications or a closely related field.
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills for varied audiences.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills, including strong written and oral delivery under tight deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Ability to work onsite in the Downtown Los Angeles office, including variable hours during peak event periods.
Nice to have
- Experience in international sports or major events organizations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Los Angeles culture and communities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.
