Bankruptcy Recovery Officer (Banking)

Location: Toronto, ON — Toronto-141 Bay, 17th Floor. The proportion of on-site and remote work will be discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Support Client Account Management Recovery Operations in managing the insolvency portfolio.
• Review bankruptcy and insolvency documents from Licensed Insolvency Trustees.
• Classify accounts, process write-offs, and maintain accurate account information for timely Proof of Claims filing.
• Research, validate, and update account data across host systems and internal tools.
• Investigate missing accounts, resolve discrepancies, follow up on outstanding items, and escalate exceptions.

Requirements

• Legal eligibility to work in Canada at the specified location is required; a valid work or study permit may be required where applicable.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, organizational, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to process a large volume of work accurately and communicate detailed information effectively.
