Senior Director, Development AI Program Management (AI)

Location: United States - Remote. Full-time work from home with occasional travel to hirify.global offices or other locations; travel may be up to 10–15%.

Annual salary: $242,800–$300,000 USD, plus eligibility for annual bonus and equity incentives.

What you will do

• Prioritize AI and operational transformation initiatives with Development leaders and the AI Steering Committee.
• Lead complex programs from initiation through deployment, adoption, and hand-off across Development, IT, and partner functions.
• Own scope, timelines, budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, governance, and executive reporting.
• Define success metrics and track realized value, efficiency, quality, and business impact after go-live.
• Oversee the performance, output quality, adoption, and compliance of deployed AI use cases.
• Lead training, change management, capability building, and development of repeatable program-management standards and playbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, technology, or business discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in biopharma or life sciences drug development, R&D operations, or technology-enabled transformation.
• 5+ years leading large, cross-functional programs and teams, with a record of delivering enterprise-scale initiatives and measurable outcomes.
• Working knowledge of AI and automation solutions and the ability to bridge business requirements with technical delivery.
• Strong understanding of GxP environments, 21 CFR Part 11, data integrity, and validation expectations for computerized and AI systems.
• Executive communication, stakeholder influence, portfolio prioritization, risk management, value tracking, and change leadership skills; ability to travel up to 10–15%.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MS, MBA, or PhD.
• PMP, PgMP, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent program/project management certification.
• Change-management certification such as Prosci.
