What you will do
- Define and implement AI-enabled localization and linguist operating models.
- Optimize translation memories, terminology, prompts, and other language assets.
- Develop best practices for collaboration between linguists and AI systems.
- Establish linguistic quality standards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
- Use edit-distance analysis and data-driven insights to improve localization performance.
- Partner with Production, Delivery, Quality, and Technology teams while advising Japanese clients and driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 8–12 years of experience in translation, localization, language services, or consulting.
- Strong experience working with Japanese clients and stakeholders.
- Experience leading localization transformation or technology adoption initiatives.
- Expertise in Japanese linguistic quality standards, localization best practices, AI-powered translation workflows, CAT tools, and Translation Management Systems.
- Native or near-native Japanese proficiency; business-level English is preferred.
