General Manager - Upcoming Apps Portfolio (Remote)

What you will do

• Own the strategy, budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and financial results of a portfolio of acquired mobile applications.
• Transition newly acquired apps into Mode by assessing their products, users, revenue models, technology, costs, teams, and market opportunities.
• Develop post-acquisition operating plans and use Mode’s technology, distribution, monetization capabilities, partnerships, and shared services to create value.
• Drive revenue, engagement, retention, and profitability through product, growth, monetization, pricing, advertising, subscriptions, partnerships, and user acquisition initiatives.
• Determine whether each app should grow, graduate, maintain, reposition, or consolidate, and prepare qualifying apps for the Emerging Apps portfolio.
• Coordinate Engineering, Product, User Acquisition, Monetization, Finance, Legal, People, and other shared services while applying AI to analysis, experimentation, automation, and execution.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of consumer mobile apps and digital business models.
• Experience with monetization, subscriptions, advertising, user acquisition, or consumer growth.
• Ability to integrate, operate, or scale acquired businesses or products.
• Hands-on operating approach with the ability to move between strategy and execution while managing multiple priorities with limited resources.
• Strong analytical, commercial, product, growth, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI in products, workflows, analytics, automation, and business operations.

Nice to have

• Prior General Manager experience.
• Experience building repeatable incubation models and preparing products for portfolio graduation.
