Salary: $238,000–$302,000 USD gross annual base salary

What you will do

• Lead the Event Insights sub-team of 3–5 engineers focused on low-latency metric event enrichment, understanding, and management.
• Lead development of a dynamic event clustering product for rapid identification of emerging issues in simulation and real-world deployments.
• Design scalable storage and pull- or push-based APIs for event querying, updates, and downstream consumption.
• Orchestrate reliable, low-latency interactions with human triage, VLM inference, clustering, and other systems.
• Partner with UI teams to deliver event insights to end consumers.
• Work with metrics, AI, data science, infrastructure, product, and SRE teams to improve system coverage, timeliness, scalability, and uptime.

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-time software engineering experience, or a quantitative PhD with 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• C++ proficiency, with familiarity with Python and SQL.
• Management experience with a team of 5+ people.
• Daily hands-on technical leadership of individual contributors, including knowledge of codebases, evaluation and data pipelines, models, and algorithms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in autonomous driving and simulation and evaluation systems.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of industry experience, including 2+ years in quantitative- or quality-focused engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• Experience with FAANG-scale distributed systems.
• Experience building software reliability evaluation systems.
