Sr Machine Learning Engineer (GenAI)

What you will do

• Engineer end-to-end machine-learning pipelines covering ingestion, feature engineering, training, optimization, evaluation, registration, and automated promotion.
• Convert research code into production microservices using Docker and Kubernetes, exposing secure REST, gRPC, or event-driven APIs.
• Build full-stack AI applications by integrating model services with user interfaces, workflow engines, and business logic.
• Optimize algorithms, GPU/CPU autoscaling, latency, and cloud costs to meet strict SLA targets.
• Implement observability, drift and bias detection, data lineage, explainability, encryption, and access controls.
• Partner with data scientists, DevOps, Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Product teams while developing reusable platform components and technical standards.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in AI/ML and enterprise software, alongside the stated education-based experience requirements.
• Strong knowledge of regression, tree-based ensembles, clustering, dimensionality reduction, time-series models, deep learning, transformers, LLMs, and RAG.
• Experience selecting AI SaaS/PaaS solutions and building custom machine-learning services at scale.
• Expertise with vector databases, RAG pipelines, prompt-engineering DSLs, and agent frameworks such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel.
• Proficiency in Python and Java, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and DevOps/MLOps tools including GitHub Actions and SageMaker Pipelines.
• Ability to evaluate TCO versus NPV, communicate technical trade-offs to executives, and manage stakeholders effectively.

• Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Thought-leadership publications or conference talks on enterprise GenAI adoption.
• Master’s degree in computer science or data science.
• Agile or SAFe experience and GenAI/ML platform certifications.
