Senior Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within Mexico; Cabo San Lucas, Cancún, Guadalajara, Mexico City, or Monterrey

Annual compensation: MX$950K–MX$1.2M, plus equity

What you will do

• Architect ambiguous product problems and break them into scoped tasks for agents to execute and ship full-stack features.
• Design and operate complex agent orchestration systems for real product features.
• Design durable APIs and data models, and own features from design through production release.
• Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Augment, or equivalent, while critically reviewing generated code.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to identify specification gaps, edge cases, and release risks.
• Maintain code quality through code reviews, test coverage, debugging, and service reliability practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional development experience with Java and/or JavaScript.
• Strong backend fundamentals, including API design, data modeling, SQL, service reliability, and production debugging.
• Daily professional use of AI coding tools and the ability to evaluate AI-generated code for logic, security, and maintainability.
• Strong system design judgment, including trade-offs, edge cases, scalability, and failure modes.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to challenge incomplete specifications constructively.
• Must work remotely from Mexico.

Nice to have

• Experience building B2B SaaS products with multi-tenant data models or transactional workflows.
• Frontend experience with Angular or modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience on small, high-output teams and making architectural decisions independently.
• Interest in Elixir or functional programming languages.
• Experience in travel, hospitality, or the experiences industry.
