Engagement Manager (Insurance & Asset Management)

Location: One Taikoo Place, Taikoo Place, 979 King's Road, Hong Kong; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the local office or onsite with clients.

What you will do

• Lead project modules covering hypothesis development, data gathering, modeling, analysis, and synthesis of strategic insights.
• Manage project workstreams and collaborate with Partners and Principals to deliver high-quality consulting services.
• Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders through presentations, workshops, and strategic discussions.
• Develop practical solutions using primary and secondary research, including when data is limited.
• Mentor and develop junior consultants while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Support thought leadership and intellectual capital development for the insurance consulting practice.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of relevant experience in top-tier strategy consulting or in Life, General, Health, Reinsurance, or Asset Management sectors.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a respected academic institution.
• Thematic expertise in strategy, including portfolio growth, distribution, internationalization, and M&A.
• Thematic expertise in operations, including claims management, underwriting processes, and technology integration.
• Thematic expertise in financial effectiveness, including risk assessment, capital allocation, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to transform complex data into clear strategic insights.
• Proven success leading teams or workstreams and managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Ability to contribute to thought leadership and intellectual capital development supporting business growth.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, creativity, collaboration, and willingness to travel for client projects.
