Senior Manager, People Analytics (Research & Data Science)

Location: Mountain View, California or San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $234,000–$316,500 annual base pay in Mountain View, with potential cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Set analytical and modeling direction across workforce forecasting, organizational effectiveness, employee research, and AI-native tooling.
• Translate people strategy into analytical initiatives and connect insights across hiring, workforce planning, performance, mobility, and employee experience.
• Guide predictive and prescriptive modeling, experimentation, causal inference, and methodological standards.
• Review model assumptions, bias, interpretability, documentation, and end-to-end analytical solutions before executive delivery.
• Partner with HR centers of excellence, HR business partners, Finance, and business leaders to establish shared workforce-data definitions and reporting standards.
• Lead a distributed team of data scientists and researchers, manage intake and demand, and build feedback loops that measure how analysis changes decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in people analytics, data science, and applied research in a people or workforce context.
• 4+ years of experience managing analytics or data science teams.
• Depth in predictive and prescriptive modeling, experimentation, and causal inference.
• Fluency in SQL and Python or R, with experience in modern cloud data environments and workflow management tools.
• Experience with workforce forecasting, attrition and retention modeling, hiring funnel analytics, compensation, organizational effectiveness, survey research, or psychometrics.
• Experience measuring AI-native analytics products and influencing senior executives through clear analytical storytelling.
