2027 Summer Real Estate Valuation Intern

Location: Principally in-person across offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts; local, national, and occasional international travel may be required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary: $33.00–$36.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Prepare real estate appraisals for residential, multifamily, industrial, retail, hotel, skilled nursing, and land properties.
• Assist with appraisals for large and complex transactions.
• Research market, competitor, industry, and property data using various databases.
• Build financial models, including discounted cash flow analyses.
• Develop appraisals using cost, sales comparison, and income capitalization approaches.
• Interview clients, attend site inspections, develop valuation reports, and communicate conclusions to clients.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in real estate, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Interest in real estate, market analysis, and consulting.
