TL;DR
IT Automation Specialist (Terraform/Ansible): Designing and implementing scalable infrastructure automation for cloud and on-premises environments with an accent on Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and enterprise-scale workflow orchestration. Focus on building self-service capabilities, integrating automation with CI/CD and operational platforms, and applying agentic AI to reduce manual IT operations.
Location: Remote from Brazil, Argentina, or Colombia; work in the local time zone
Contract duration: 6 months

What you will do
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions with Terraform and OpenTofu for cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management, application deployment, and system patching.
- Architect and optimize enterprise Ansible Tower/AWX environments, including RBAC, credential management, and workflow orchestration.
- Lead the adoption of agentic AI capabilities for IT operations automation and reduced manual effort.
- Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and ticketing platforms.
- Establish automation standards, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and document architectures, runbooks, and procedures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of IT infrastructure and systems administration experience.
- Expert-level Terraform and/or OpenTofu skills, including management of complex infrastructure states.
- Advanced Ansible expertise with production experience designing and maintaining Ansible Tower or AWX.
- Strong Python skills for custom modules, plugins, and automation scripts.
- Deep understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Git, public cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP, and hybrid infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills; a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience implementing agentic AI solutions for IT operations.
- Advanced Ansible Tower features, including workflows, dynamic inventory, and LDAP/SAML integration.
- CMDB, ServiceNow, GitOps, ArgoCD, or Flux experience.
- Relevant Terraform, Ansible, cloud, or infrastructure certifications.
- Open-source contributions or thought leadership in infrastructure automation.
