Senior Compliance Advisory Business Partner (Financial Services)

Location: Nottingham, United Kingdom; hybrid role with a 40% office base

What you will do

• Partner with First Line teams to provide proactive regulatory guidance.
• Challenge and help manage regulatory risks, incidents, and remediation activities.
• Advise on projects, product development, acquisitions, bids, and strategic plans.
• Design, implement, and enhance regulatory controls and compliance frameworks.
• Assess regulatory changes and coordinate appropriate actions across the business.

Requirements

• Experience in B2B compliance advisory.
• Experience with the FCA regulatory framework, including Consumer Duty and conduct risk principles.
• Knowledge of UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, DUAA 2025, and broader privacy requirements.
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical business advice.
• Knowledge of regulatory risk management, controls, governance, and oversight activities.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, provide constructive challenge, and manage competing priorities.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of data protection and data privacy.
• Exposure to Open Banking, AISP regulations, or Payment Institution requirements.
