Senior Java Engineer (Cloud)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support scalable, high-performance back-end systems.
• Build modern cloud-based architectures using Java 21, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Develop RESTful APIs and enterprise-level services.
• Manage and run applications in containerized Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions and contribute to technical design discussions.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, testing, and delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Java software development experience, including strong expertise in Java 21 and Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL or MySQL.
• Experience with enterprise cloud technologies, including Azure and/or AWS.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and best practices.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with a minimum of 85% proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, Azure services such as AKS, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps, and MongoDB or other NoSQL technologies.
• Experience providing technical guidance and mentorship to developers.
• Experience with DataDog, Terraform, or Snowflake.
