Data Engineering Intern

Location: Portugal; fully remote

Paid, full-time internship for three months, 40 hours per week.

What you will do

• Assist with designing, developing, and maintaining clean, reliable, and timely data pipelines.
• Collaborate on implementing and optimizing ETL pipelines.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouses.
• Support data cleaning, validation, transformation, and data quality improvements.
• Help develop business-focused data models and metrics.
• Explore and visualize datasets, identify distribution and performance issues, and support client requirements and deliverables.

Requirements

• Excellent English is required for meetings, client calls, and business communications; the CV must be submitted in English.
• Basic knowledge of Python and data libraries.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database engines.
• Experience visualizing and manipulating datasets.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Curiosity, autonomy, adaptability, collaboration, and dependable delivery.

Nice to have

• AWS knowledge.
• PySpark or Spark, Airflow, data lakes, data warehouses, and Git.
