Senior Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer (Oil & Gas)

What you will do

• Manage assigned instrumentation and process control system engineering scopes for medium to large oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical projects.
• Support execution leadership by managing cost, scope, schedule, reporting, and project objectives.
• Develop scopes of work, construction packages, technical documentation, requisitions, and spare parts lists.
• Develop process control specifications and control system designs covering DCS, PLC, SIS, BMS, telecommunications, instrumentation, and process analyzers.
• Lead safety and constructability reviews and coordinate with engineering, procurement, document control, clients, and suppliers.
• Requisition engineered items, evaluate bids, and review and manage supplier data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial oil and gas, refining, petrochemical, or heavy industries, including 5+ years in technical control systems leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in instrumentation, process control system design, electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and panel schedules.
• Experience leading initiatives, managing suppliers, requisitioning equipment, evaluating bids, and reviewing supplier data.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Role location: Houston, Texas, United States.

Nice to have

• PE or P.Eng. certification.
• Knowledge of or exposure to telecommunications, cybersecurity, and process analyzer engineering.
