Instrument & Control Technician (Oil & Gas)

What you will do

• Lead inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance programs for instrumentation and control equipment.
• Perform proving, calibration, daily maintenance, and troubleshooting of transmitters, control valves, valve positioners, pressure switches, relays, and related devices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, SIS, fire and gas, and other industrial control systems.
• Coordinate instrumentation scopes with Operations Support and Project Engineers.
• Maintain calibration, repair, and maintenance records; update P&IDs, loop drawings, and instrumentation databases.
• Report equipment performance and reliability issues and follow Management of Change processes.

Requirements

• Diploma or technical certification in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of process instrumentation and control principles.
• Proficiency with HART communicators, pressure calibrators, multimeters, and other calibration equipment.
• Experience with PLC, DCS, and HMI systems, such as Rockwell.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
