Embedded Protective Intelligence Analyst

Location: San Francisco, Washington, D.C., or New York, United States; at least two in-office days per week. Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm.

Salary: USD 146,000–198,000 per year, depending on experience and location. San Francisco: USD 153,000–191,000; Washington, D.C.: USD 146,000–183,000; New York: USD 159,000–198,000.

What you will do

• Monitor, collect, and analyze information to identify threats, risks, and emerging trends affecting personnel, operations, events, assets, and brand reputation.
• Conduct threat assessments and investigative research on threat actors, persons of concern, suspicious activity, and security incidents.
• Produce intelligence products, threat assessments, executive briefings, alerts, and analytical reports.
• Support executive protection, special events, travel monitoring for elevated-risk destinations, and other security initiatives.
• Provide rapid intelligence and investigative support for requests and critical incident response.
• Maintain intelligence records, case management systems, and analytical databases while collaborating with security, investigations, crisis management, and business operations stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Security Studies, International Relations, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Intelligence Studies, Business Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in protective intelligence, threat assessment, intelligence analysis, investigations, security, trust and safety, or risk management.
• Advanced knowledge of protective intelligence principles, investigative techniques, and structured threat assessment frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in open-source intelligence collection, social media analysis, public records research, and online investigative methods.
• Ability to produce high-quality analytical reports, communicate risk clearly, manage sensitive information discreetly, and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with intelligence research tools, Microsoft Office, collaboration platforms, and communication technologies.
