Courier Controller (Logistics)

What you will do

• Manage courier service providers and monitor performance against agreed service levels and customer SLAs.
• Plan, schedule, assign, inspect, record, and organise distribution operations.
• Manage daily deliveries, identify delivery issues, communicate problems to clients, and follow through to resolution.
• Maintain interfaces between courier and company systems to support data integrity.
• Analyse failed deliveries and problem parcels, recording results to identify trends and root causes.
• Maintain SOPs, review improvement opportunities, manage claims for loss or damage, and reconcile transport accounts against agreed monthly rates.

Requirements

• Post-matric qualification in logistics or a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in distribution and a 3PL environment.
• Proficiency with relevant software applications and computer systems.
• Knowledge of transport legislative requirements and commitment to staying up to date.
• Strong planning, organising, problem-solving, analytical, numerical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, act autonomously, manage conflict, and maintain a professional and proactive approach.
