DC Champion - Inventory

What you will do

• Organise and control the department to support business goals and maintain safe, clean work areas.
• Implement improvement processes and maintain procedures and systems to reduce costs and maximise working capital.
• Review daily operational reports, identify discrepancies, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Plan daily activities with line managers and ensure all processes are completed within the same day.
• Oversee, train, and motivate DC Assistants while maintaining productivity, accuracy, quality, and turnaround targets.
• Maintain FIFO task flow and resolve escalated operational queries from the team.

Requirements

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Four to five years of warehouse experience, including picking, packing, receiving, supplier collections, and inventory operations.
• At least two years of supervisory experience or exposure is advantageous.
• Detailed understanding of warehouse management systems and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organisation, administration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to train staff and work effectively under pressure as part of a multicultural team.

Nice to have

• Tertiary qualification.
• Prior supervisory experience or exposure.
