Chief Information Security Officer (Fintech)

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid with three days per week in-office on Tuesday, Thursday, and one additional chosen day. Extra remote time may be requested.

Salary: Starting from €120,000 gross per annum, with final compensation based on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Develop and oversee the enterprise-wide information security strategy for a cloud-native AWS/GCP environment.
• Lead security architecture, least-privilege access control, and protection of infrastructure, customer data, and the payment ecosystem.
• Drive regulatory compliance, the information security management system, and certification programs.
• Manage security risks while balancing protection, continuous delivery, business growth, and agility.
• Lead incident response, SOC maturity, threat detection, monitoring, business continuity, and cyber resilience.
• Lead, mentor, and grow multidisciplinary offensive, defensive, and secure development lifecycle security teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in senior information security leadership roles such as CISO or VP of Security.
• Deep knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 and financial-services regulations, especially DORA and PSD2; CSSF-regulated experience is beneficial.
• Experience building or transforming security functions and making risk-based decisions in fast-changing environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills for working with the Board, executive peers, and regulatory bodies.
• Fluent English required; Italian is a strong plus.
