What you will do

• Review Castilian Spanish audio recordings against existing transcripts and correct word-level errors.
• Fix misheard words, spelling, punctuation, and formatting inconsistencies.
• Verify and adjust word-level timestamps for precise audio alignment.
• Apply detailed editorial and formatting guidelines consistently.
• Flag unclear audio, overlapping speech, and segments requiring additional review.
• Maintain high accuracy across large volumes of transcript data while working independently and asynchronously.

Requirements

• Native or near-native Castilian Spanish proficiency, including strong familiarity with Spain’s pronunciation, vocabulary, and regional nuances.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to distinguish words in varied audio conditions.
• Strong written communication skills in Spanish.
• High attention to detail and comfort with repetitive precision work, exact timing, and word-level accuracy.
• Ability to follow detailed style guides and formatting rules.
• No prior AI or technology experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience as a transcriptionist, court reporter, stenographer, or subtitle editor.
• Linguistics training or academic experience in Iberian Spanish.
• Experience with annotation platforms, data-labeling tools, or transcript editing software.
• Familiarity with phonetics, speech processing, or audio analysis.
• Experience following detailed editorial style guides.
