Accounting Analysis - Accountant (fixed term)

What you will do

• Analyse and challenge regulated insurance entities’ statutory results under UK GAAP.
• Analyse insurance entities’ contributions to Group reporting under IFRS.
• Produce commentary for statutory and Group board reports.
• Support the production and finalisation of UK GAAP and IFRS results.
• Collaborate with actuaries, accountants, auditors, and finance teams.
• Support new reporting standards, finance change projects, audits, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience analysing and interpreting insurance financial results under UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Knowledge of finance systems and data, including data transformation and mapping solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage tasks independently, and collaborate effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Newly or part-qualified accounting qualification such as CA, ACA, or ACCA preferred.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Oracle, Power BI, and Tagetik.
• Interest in automation and finance process improvement.
