Associate - Corporate & Finance (Banking & Finance)

What you will do

• Advise on banking and finance transactions, including debt finance and debt capital markets.
• Work on EMTNs and other capital markets programmes, structured finance operations, and fund formation and transactions.
• Provide sophisticated financial regulatory advice.
• Represent international clients on Belgian corporate, finance, and commercial law matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the London, Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, and wider international office network.
• Manage project responsibilities and ensure timely delivery to high quality standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in law obtained in Belgium with excellent academic results.
• 2–6 years of relevant experience in a banking and finance or equivalent practice group at a reputable Belgian law firm.
• Native French or Dutch and a good command of the other national language are required.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required.
• Strong technical capabilities, project management skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work on time.
• Ability to build relationships with clients, regulators, and counterparties and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Nice to have

• International experience, such as secondments, an LL.M., or an additional master’s degree.
