Manager Regulatory Affairs, Europe (Chemicals)

Location: Hybrid in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium; work from home at least four days per week.

What you will do

• Monitor and assess EU regulatory developments affecting lithium, bromine, and related value chains.
• Translate complex regulatory developments into clear business implications and guidance for internal stakeholders.
• Develop the company’s strategy on EU regulatory matters for lithium and bromine products.
• Lead regulatory initiatives and projects involving REACH, CLP, OSH, industrial emissions, circular economy, water framework, and eco-design requirements.
• Engage with regulators, trade associations, and other external stakeholders on technical and regulatory positions.
• Prepare internal briefings, position papers, consultation responses, and advocacy materials.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in environment, sustainability, chemicals, raw materials, or a related field.
• Experience in European institutions, trade associations, corporations, or NGOs.
• Experience with chemicals management, REACH, CLP, eco-design, or circular economy topics.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field; chemistry, chemical engineering, or environmental science is advantageous.
• English is the working language. Strong analytical, drafting, and business advisory skills are required.
• Experience advising business leaders; project management experience is advantageous.
