Summer Adjunct Faculty (Mathematics) (On Campus)

Location: On campus in Laredo, Texas, with regular face-to-face attendance required.

Texas A&M International University is seeking qualified applicants for temporary adjunct faculty appointments in the Department of Mathematics and Physics.

What you will do

• Teach mathematics courses for up to six semester credit hours during the Summer 2026 semester or applicable summer sub-terms.
• Deliver instruction online when dictated by the program, course schedule, and student demand.
• Maintain regular on-campus attendance and conduct face-to-face interactions with students.
• Hold office hours and assist students as needed.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize instructional responsibilities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field.
• At least 18 graduate hours in mathematics or the relevant discipline.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to interact professionally with the general public and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work under stress and meet pressing timelines.
• Curriculum vitae, letter of interest, at least three professional references with full contact information, and unofficial transcripts are required.

Nice to have

• Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level.
