Associate Principal/Principal Qualitative Research (Patient-Centered Solutions)

Location: UK or Europe; remote or hybrid working available. Occasional travel expected. Applicants must have the right to live and work in the recruiting country.

What you will do

• Lead the design, execution, analysis, and delivery of qualitative healthcare research across clinical, observational, and standalone studies.
• Provide scientific guidance on patient experience data, COA and PRO development, content validity, endpoint strategy, and regulatory evidence.
• Serve as a senior scientific and strategic advisor to clients, managing project quality, scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and satisfaction.
• Evaluate and apply innovative and AI-enabled qualitative methods while maintaining scientific rigor.
• Support proposals, business development, thought leadership, publications, presentations, and expansion of qualitative services.
• Develop research standards, SOPs, training materials, and researcher qualification processes while mentoring and coaching staff.

Requirements

• PhD in psychology, anthropology, sociology, public health, health sciences, or a related discipline, or a Master's degree with substantial consulting or additional experience.
• 5–8 years of consulting experience in the pharmaceutical industry and demonstrated expertise in qualitative healthcare research.
• Experience with Patient-Focused Drug Development guidance from the US FDA and with clinical data, regulatory or payer submissions, publications, or COA development and validation.
• Experience using qualitative data analysis software such as ATLAS.ti, MAXQDA, or NVivo.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects and senior client stakeholders in a consulting or CRO environment.
• Fluency in English and the right to work in the recruiting country are required.

• Regulatory-focused research experience, including clinical trials, endpoint development, or patient experience studies.
• Publications, abstracts, or conference presentations.
• Cross-cultural or multilingual research design experience.
• Proposal development, business growth, formal people management, or coaching experience.
