Localization Language Lead, Arabic (Game Localization)

Location: Madrid, Spain. Employment follows Spanish employment law and applicable European Union standards.

What you will do

• Own the Arabic localization strategy, quality standards, and final sign-off across 2K game titles.
• Develop and enforce Arabic glossaries, style guides, cultural policies, and naming conventions.
• Review and edit in-game text, UI, scripts, voiceover content, and marketing materials for tone, fluency, clarity, and cultural relevance.
• Lead Arabic voiceover casting, script reviews, and creative direction sessions.
• Partner with LQA, developers, producers, marketing, publishing, age-rating teams, and studios to resolve linguistic bugs and compliance issues.
• Supervise and mentor linguists and vendors while helping improve localization processes, quality, and turnaround time.

Requirements

• Professional localization experience in games, technology, or entertainment.
• Native Arabic fluency with mastery of grammar, tone, regional nuance, and Arabic-speaking player culture.
• Advanced English fluency in written and spoken communication.
• Ability to independently manage complex language projects, resolve ambiguity, and act as the escalation point for linguistic and QA disputes.
• Knowledge of platform-holder guidelines, age-rating requirements, cultural risk mitigation, and brand alignment.
• Familiarity with CAT tools, translation memory systems, XLOC, JIRA, and CMS platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with voiceover scripting, dubbing production, and linguistic performance direction.
• Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, media, or a related field.
