Distributed Systems Engineer

What you will do

• Design and improve the orchestration engine for CI/CD pipeline execution and lifecycle management.
• Provision ephemeral, sandboxed environments on EKS and ECS for untrusted workloads from connected Git repositories.
• Build job scheduling for thousands of concurrent builds and implement secure secrets management.
• Optimize pipeline runtimes through caching, artifact storage, and dependency reuse.
• Implement retry, timeout, cancellation, and failure-propagation behavior for predictable pipeline execution.
• Instrument pipeline lifecycles with traces, metrics, structured logs, and developer-facing integrations.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills in Go and TypeScript.
• 3+ years of experience building and operating cloud infrastructure or distributed systems at scale.
• Required knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and constructs.
• Experience building reliable, observable, and maintainable production systems.
• Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and operate effectively in async, globally distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS SDKs and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform.
• Experience developing JSON or TOML configuration files and Terraform or Pulumi integrations.
