What you will do

• Design, implement, and train large-scale probabilistic forecasting models for QuickBooks financial intelligence.
• Build end-to-end data pipelines, ETL processes, and feature engineering workflows for large datasets.
• Apply data mining, NLP, machine learning, causal learning, online learning, Bayesian learning, reinforcement learning, and deep learning to real-world problems.
• Lead technical architecture and model implementation for a scrum team while maintaining code, design, cost, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, designers, risk, and compliance stakeholders to define metrics, experiments, and minimum viable products.
• Mentor scientists and engineers and communicate AI strategy and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical leaders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of applied ML/AI experience delivering scalable, production-grade AI systems.
• BS, MS, or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Operations Research, or an equivalent field.
• Hands-on experience with time-series or sequence models for multi-horizon probabilistic forecasting, including transformer-based forecasters or comparable architectures.
• Strong knowledge of probabilistic forecasting, quantile or distributional loss functions, calibration evaluation, and multi-task objectives.
• Experience building learned representations at millions-of-entities scale, including cold-start strategies.
• Experience with production training and inference pipelines, model latency and throughput optimization, and effective communication with technical and non-technical partners.
