Adjunct Instructor - English & Languages (English)

What you will do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver English lectures, seminars, and laboratory offerings for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design exams, quizzes, papers, and other assessments.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes.
• Engage students in active learning, discussion, collaboration, hands-on learning, and critical thinking.
• Provide office hours, academic guidance, feedback, and mentoring to students.
• Follow university policies, academic integrity standards, and accreditation requirements while incorporating instructional technologies and innovative teaching methods.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in English or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• At least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to teach at the Stephenville or Fort Worth campuses or through approved instructional modalities, based on student demand.
• Ability to serve as a Campus Security Authority and pass a criminal history investigation and credential verification.

Nice to have

• Doctorate or terminal degree in English or a closely related field.
• Previous online teaching experience at the collegiate level.

• Temporary, part-time appointments assigned per semester on an as-needed basis.
