IDAM Architect - Secure, on-site Hampshire (Cybersecurity)

Location: Farnborough, United Kingdom — onsite 5 days per week. Candidates must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and be eligible to meet UK Government and contractual personnel security requirements, including applicable residency and potential nationality requirements.

What you will do

• Design enterprise-scale identity and access management architectures for defence operations.
• Architect authentication, MFA, authorisation, RBAC, ABAC, PAM, identity governance, and access lifecycle solutions.
• Lead IDAM modernisation, platform migrations, technology evaluations, and cloud-ready hybrid identity implementations.
• Ensure compliance with classification guides, Defence Security Policy, ITAR regulations, personnel vetting requirements, and defence security standards.
• Design integrations with enterprise applications and cloud platforms, including federation, SSO, cross-domain authentication, APIs, and microservices.
• Lead technical teams, architecture reviews, customer workshops, governance activities, operational readiness, and incident response support.

Requirements

• Experience designing enterprise-scale identity and access management solutions in an architecture role.
• Background in defence, aerospace, or government IDAM programmes.
• Expertise with Azure AD, Okta, Ping, ForgeRock, LDAP, Active Directory, OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.
• Strong knowledge of hybrid and cloud-native identity, PAM, RBAC/ABAC, identity governance, access certification, and entitlement management.
• Experience with API security, service-to-service authentication, microservices identity, cryptography, encryption, and security protocols.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, make architectural decisions, communicate with customers, and influence senior stakeholders.
