Labour and Employee Relations Specialist - Discovery and Medical

Location: On-site in Cardiff or Newquay, Cornwall, United Kingdom; approximately 10–15% travel across UK sites is required.

What you will do

• Manage high-volume employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, and capability matters.
• Support and conduct investigations by reviewing statements, interview notes, evidence packs, and outcome letters.
• Support People Leaders during disciplinary and grievance hearings.
• Coach and advise managers to promote fair, consistent, and legally compliant decisions.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records in the HR system and meet internal service-level agreements and the ACAS Code of Practice.
• Travel across UK sites to support complex casework and training delivery.

Requirements

• CIPD Level 5 qualification, a degree in Business, Law, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in an HR advisory capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and the ACAS Code of Practice.
• Experience managing complex employee relations cases through to resolution.
• Ability to influence, challenge, and coach managers at all levels.
