Senior Director, Clinical Data Management

Location: Durham, North Carolina, United States of America

Annual base pay range: $134,400–$374,400 USD, with actual compensation varying by qualifications, location, and schedule.

What you will do

• Lead a Clinical Data Management organization of 150+ professionals and/or multiple regional offices.
• Build workforce and capacity strategies aligned with business growth and client commitments.
• Ensure delivery of clinical databases meeting quality, timeline, and customer expectations.
• Optimize resource utilization, operational efficiency, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.
• Define department goals, technology strategies, process improvements, and enterprise data management initiatives.
• Advise key clients and stakeholders, lead executive-level delivery discussions, and represent Data Management in strategic engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and typically 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Significant Clinical Data Management leadership experience within a CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research organization.
• Deep expertise in clinical data management processes, systems, and emerging technologies.
• Experience managing large, complex organizations and global teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, communication, influencing, stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Experience leading organizational change, transformation, performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
