What you will do

• Perform routine and non-routine tissue processing, paraffin embedding, sectioning, slide preparation, and advanced staining.
• Conduct FISH and IHC technical processing and staining to support pathological assessment.
• Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and lead root cause analysis.
• Mentor and train junior staff on specialized techniques and laboratory procedures.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, SOPs, and good documentation practices.
• Lead process improvement, technology transfer, workflow optimization, and cost-saving initiatives; prepare technical assay and pipeline documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Advanced experience with histology techniques, including paraffin embedding, sectioning, FISH, and IHC.
• Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and laboratory operations.
• Ability to lead projects, mentor staff, troubleshoot processes, and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk frequently, perform close-eye work, and occasionally work in cold temperatures.
