TL;DR
Clinical Research Coordinator II - Zakim Center (Oncology) (clinical trials and exercise oncology): Conducting clinical research projects focused on exercise and nutrition interventions for oncology patients and survivors with an accent on patient data collection, protocol assessments, regulatory compliance, and trial coordination. Focus on managing study data and source documents, administering exercise and physical function testing, coordinating samples and audits, and supporting clinical trials throughout their lifecycle.

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; main location at the DFCI Longwood campus, with travel to DFCI network sites approximately once per week. The role is onsite with occasional remote work.

Salary: $56,000–$63,700 per year

What you will do

  • Coordinate clinical trials from protocol receipt and start-up through site activation, ongoing conduct, and close-out.
  • Collect, manage, report, and resolve clinical trial data, including source documents, case report forms, adverse events, and data queries.
  • Screen patients for eligibility, obtain informed consent for non-treatment trials, register participants in OnCore, and conduct protocol-required follow-up.
  • Administer exercise and physical function assessments and collect protocol-related tissue and other samples.
  • Prepare and ship samples according to protocol requirements and IATA/DOT regulations.
  • Coordinate with research, laboratory, pharmacy, scheduling, materials management, sponsors, regulators, and auditors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or two years of experience as a Dana-Farber Clinical Research Coordinator.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in medical or scientific research or a technology-oriented business environment.
  • Strong organization, communication, interpersonal, time-management, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and adherence to hospital confidentiality requirements.
  • Ability to interact with adult and pediatric study participants and perform protocol-related data collection and assessments.
  • Ability to work at the DFCI Longwood campus in Boston and travel to network sites approximately once per week.
