Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly)

What you will do

• Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving for non-conforming materials, customer complaints, and incapable processes.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are established and monitored according to approved work instructions and process controls.
• Support technicians and operators through mentoring, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Develop cell layouts, material flows, handling systems, and production plans for lean and synchronous manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D and NPI teams on new product development, production readiness, validation, and process ownership transfers.
• Drive yield, output, and cell-efficiency improvements using A3 root cause analysis and lean manufacturing methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Polymer, Science, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering, or 5+ years of experience as a Process Assembly Technician in a medical device environment.
• Experience with cleanroom manufacturing, validations, process controls, process improvements, and lean manufacturing.
• Ability to evaluate and correct non-conforming products and processes and participate in MRB, product disposition, CAPA, and audit programs.
• Students and apprentices may work under the supervision of a fully competent individual with manager co-signing.
• An Associate-level position may be available for candidates with limited experience; a Senior-level position may be available with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
