TL;DR
Staff Software Engineer - Mobile (AI) (Swift/SwiftUI/Kotlin): Shaping quality and reliability architecture across native mobile clients and backend/API layers with an accent on testability, release confidence, and cross-team technical leadership. Focus on designing quality gates, controlling device and OS fragmentation and flakiness, and defining responsible AI-assisted engineering workflows with data-security governance.
Location: Warsaw, Poland; remote options available in Poland

What you will do
- Set and own quality and reliability strategy across backend APIs, contracts, and native iOS and Android clients.
- Design testability practices, release quality gates, deployment-pipeline controls, device and OS-version coverage, and flakiness management using BrowserStack and GitLab CI.
- Drive cross-team resolution of quality and reliability issues and contribute hands-on through prototypes, tooling, reference implementations, and incident resolution.
- Set technical direction across several teams, mentor senior engineers, and lead knowledge-sharing activities across the organization.
- Define quality and reliability metrics and use them to communicate engineering risk to EMs, SEMs, and PMs.
- Define AI adoption workflows, governance, data-security standards, and risk-management practices for engineering and quality.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience at Staff, Principal, Tech Lead, or Architect level, with impact beyond a single team.
- Commercial, hands-on experience testing native iOS or Android applications using standard mobile testing approaches.
- Experience defining quality and reliability strategies, shifting quality ownership left, and measurably improving outcomes.
- Strong engineering foundation with the ability to read, review, and write production-quality code.
- Experience leading technical and process change directly with development teams.
- Fluent English required.
Nice to have
- BrowserStack, GitLab CI/CD, snapshot testing, and mock-based testing experience.
- Logistics or e-commerce industry experience.
- Polish fluency.
- Appium familiarity, AI in engineering or testing workflows, or ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer certification.
