Measurement & Verification Engineer

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii, United States; travel throughout the United States is required.

Salary: $88,900–$128,750 annually, plus benefits and potential performance-based compensation.

What you will do

• Gather utility data, energy management system trends, site logs, and field service reports.
• Analyze project data and verify energy, water, and Operations and Maintenance savings using spreadsheet-based calculations.
• Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual Measurement and Verification reports.
• Schedule and perform on-site inspections, report presentations, and customer training.
• Review energy savings performance contracts and ensure compliance with M&V obligations.
• Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance staff, service contractors, and project development teams to create M&V protocols.

Requirements

• Four-year technical engineering degree, such as a BSME, or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in measurement and verification or energy-related reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license issued by the state of residence and a good driving record.
• U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status is required.
• Ability to travel and potentially pass a security clearance investigation.

Nice to have

• Experience analyzing energy savings for chiller and boiler plants, motors, compressors, VSDs, HVAC retrofits, controls, and distributed generation.
• Knowledge of IPMVP and FEMP standards.
• Energy management controls experience.
• Strong verbal, written, computer communication, and presentation skills.
