Forward Deployed Operations Intern (AI)

Location: Silicon Valley or San Francisco, California; occasional office attendance required

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship AI-native and agentic workflows for legal operations, business development, and intelligence.
• Work with leadership and non-technical domain experts to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Develop prototypes using programming, APIs, LLMs, agentic coding tools, MCPs, Jupyter Notebook, and VS Code.
• Run experiments, measure results, and iterate on workflows based on evidence.
• Deliver practical solutions that move from concept to implementation and into the hands of users.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a computer science, data science, industrial engineering, quantitative social science, economics, or related technical degree program.
• Available to work at least 16 hours per week.
• Within commuting distance of and able to occasionally attend the San Francisco or Silicon Valley offices.
• Hands-on programming experience, preferably with Python, and familiarity with APIs, LLMs, agentic coding tools, MCPs, Jupyter Notebook, or VS Code.
• Ability to work with non-technical users, gather feedback, and explain technical solutions.
• Action-oriented approach focused on execution, experimentation, and iteration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or a similar cloud platform.
• Interest in current and emerging technologies.
