Federal Government Operations Manager (ICT Engineering)

Location: Australia Plains, ACT, Australia; hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days working remotely

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a regional team of 15+ ICT engineering professionals across ACT and other Australian states.
• Deliver complex Professional Services engineering projects to scope, schedule, budget, security, and quality standards.
• Manage resource planning, forecasting, utilisation, and reporting while maintaining billable utilisation above 80%.
• Contribute to business cases, solution development, technical pre-sales, and new business opportunities.
• Identify automation opportunities, improve delivery processes, and help develop new services and innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders on technology challenges, industry engagement, and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in engineering, professional services, or technical operations leadership.
• Extensive expertise in networking, voice, wireless, security, and infrastructure solutions for medium to large enterprise environments.
• Experience delivering complex ICT projects from solution design through implementation and ongoing support.
• Strong technical pre-sales experience, including customer engagement and solution development.
• Broad multi-vendor experience across infrastructure design, deployment, and support.
• Australian citizenship and a current NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance, or a recent NV1 clearance application, are required.
