Quality Global Visual Inspection Expert (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Gentilly or Lyon, France; hybrid work with remote work up to 2 days per week

Salary: €76,000–€101,333 annually, with additional short-term and collective variable compensation

What you will do

• Drive the global strategy for visual inspection processes across manufacturing and supply sites.
• Author, review, and approve technical documents, including qualification strategies, control strategies, investigations, change controls, expert opinions, and defect classifications.
• Develop and implement harmonized visual inspection procedures across sites.
• Provide technical oversight for defect classification, inspection techniques, and operator qualification programs.
• Perform root cause analysis related to defect creation, prevention, and detection.
• Develop real-time statistical metrics to assess process variability and capability, and support complex investigations and regulatory inspections.

Requirements

• 10+ years of significant hands-on experience in visual inspection of liquid and lyophilized pharmaceutical products within an industrial pharmaceutical environment.
• Experience developing or using test set kits and defect libraries.
• Experience supervising or managing manual, semi-automated, and fully automated visual inspection processes.
• Ability to influence and communicate with diverse groups on complex regulatory, business, and technical matters.
• Strong project management skills and a Master of Science degree or equivalent.
• Advanced written and spoken English and French are required.
