Sr. GCP Security Engineer (GCP)

What you will do

• Architect and implement end-to-end GCP security controls across projects, folders, and organization-level policies.
• Design and manage IAM governance, including workforce identity federation, service accounts, Workload Identity, and organization policy constraints.
• Implement VPC Service Controls, Private Google Access, Cloud Armor, firewall policies, zero-trust access controls, and data security measures.
• Integrate security tooling into Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform-based infrastructure automation.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments for GCP-hosted financial workloads.
• Support audits and regulatory reviews, monitor GCP security posture, and communicate relevant cloud security changes to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6+ years of information security experience, including 3+ years focused on GCP security in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Expert proficiency with GCP security services, including Security Command Center, IAM, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, KMS, DLP, and Chronicle.
• Hands-on Terraform experience for GCP infrastructure security automation and strong Python skills for security tooling.
• Knowledge of financial-services compliance requirements and cloud-native threat vectors, including MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud and detection engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification.
• Google Professional Cloud Architect certification or CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GCIA, or GCSA certification.
• Experience securing Google Workspace in an enterprise financial-services environment.
• Familiarity with Apigee API security and Cloud Endpoints for financial API gateways.
